The Desert Running Club was established in 1980 by a group of valley runners who formed a running organization to give desert runners an opportunity to join together to improve training, challenge each other, and have a good time with running friends. In 1995, a formal, non-profit club was formed and named “The Desert Cities Track Club.” We call ourselves the “Desert Rats.”
